Sad Boys, 2017

The presidential election in Austria went on for what felt like ages. The candidate from the right-wing party FPÖ eventually lost in a tight race. In Austria there’s a long tradition of fraternities, which members often follow a far-right-wing, conservative (some might even say Nazi) ideology. Most politicians of the FPÖ are or have been part of one of these fraternities. The Zine Sad Boys celebrates the defeat of the FPÖ candidate Norbert Hofer by showing him and his fellow party members in a way they’d never want to be presented in: sad, vulnerable, insecure

POLIZEIS / COPSICLE, 2016

In summer 2016 the amount of viennese cops licking popsicles in public was borderline uncanny. Copsicle is a homage to these policemen/women, who put themselves in this comedic position. The zine was done in collaboration with German designer Philip Zöhrer, who’s drawings are not shown here.
